ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is off to a beautiful start this week , with a welcome taste of fall in the air.

After weeks of heat and humidity, we’re finally seeing cooler mornings, comfortable afternoons and plenty of sunshine.

Early Monday, temperatures across much of the region dipped into the 60s, with a few of our northern interior counties—such as Marion and northern Lake—waking up to readings in the upper 50s .

It was a crisp, refreshing start, and those milder conditions will continue in the afternoon, with highs in Orlando expected to reach around 83 degrees . A light northerly breeze and lower humidity will make for an ideal mid-October day.
