Exclusive: A Queensland retiree is suing a tiny home manufacturer after spending about $145,000 for a new tiny home that was never delivered.

Sunshine Coast-based Tiny Home and Co was supposed to deliver her home to her block in Far North Queensland by March but it never arrived.

The company went into liquidation in September.

"I just couldn't bear to think that this was going to happen to me," customer Rachel Black said.

Black, who lives with a complex medical condition, is now suing Tiny Home and Co and its director Matthew Randolph.

"I haven't been very well," she said.

"He knew that this house was really important to me.

"He also knew that I was purchasing part of it with some money from my father's inheritance."
