LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Despite a 2-1 loss to El Paso Locomotive FC over the weekend, the Lexington Sporting Club men's team remains in playoff position.

After trailing by two goals to nil, Lexington SC scored in the 55th minute thanks to a brilliant corner kick from Blaine Ferri that connected with Cory Burke at the near post to get LSC on the board.

The goal was Burke's fifth of the season so far. Despite a late push from the Lexington, which saw the team outshoot El Paso 13-2 in stoppage time, they were unable to find an equalizer.

The Greens currently sit in 7th place in the USL Championship Western Conference standings with two games remaining in the regular season.
