More than halfway into its season, the Missouri Southern State University volleyball team finally made its home debut and made it count with a 3-0 sweep of Newman University Friday and a five-set marathon win over rival Pittsburg State University Saturday at a crowded and raucous Robert Ellis Young Gymnasium.

The Lions (8-10, 2-5) faced little trouble from Newman (2-5, 0-6) Friday night, taking care of the Jets in straight sets, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17. ×
