Puri: Servitors of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri have strongly opposed some devotees wearing dhoti and kurta featuring images of the Lord and trying to enter the 12th century shrine in the pilgrim town.
Sources said that angry servitors stopped these visitors from entering the temple, accusing them of insulting the Lords by wearing such outfits. ADVERTISEMENT
A servitor said that these visitors were not allowed to enter the temple as they were wearing dhoti that was insulting to Lord Jagannath.
The visitors were asked to change their dress and wear other clothes to enter the temple. A video on the issue has gone viral on social media.
