A left-wing Israeli member was on Monday ejected from the country's parliament (Knesset) interrupted US President Donald Trump's speech during the Gaza peace deal ceremony. The Israeli MP was caught on camera displaying 'Recognise Palestine' slogan from his chair before security officials whisked him away.
The incident occurred when Trump was praising his special envoy Steve Witkoff, who played a key role in drafting a peace deal to end the two-year-old war between Israel and Palestinian terror group Hamas.
Knesset speaker Amir Ohana apologised to Trump for the commotion. The US President, impressed by the security officials' quick action to eject the Israeli MP and another member, said they were "very efficient", drawing laughter from other parliamentarians.
