COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Gamecocks announced a star player for the women’s basketball team will be out for the 2025-2026 season.

The team says senior Chloe Kitts has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in her right knee and will be out for the 2026-2026 season. She will have surgery this week.

“We hate this first for Chloe, who has worked incredibly hard to become the best version of herself on the court this season,” head coach Dawn Staley said.

Kitts has been a starter for the last two seasons, helping the team to back-to-back national title game appearances, including the 2024 National Championship.
