A person has been fined £500 after being caught throwing rubbish out of a vehicle window in Warwickshire . It happened in Dordon.

North Warwickshire Borough Council was tipped off by a member of the public, and an investigation was launched. Officers found that the waste had been thrown by an employee of a private housing company shortly after completing work at a property in Dordon.

Evidence confirmed that the waste had been thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle, and the person responsible was prosecuted for littering. Officials fined the individual £500.

Andy Timmins, from North Warwickshire Borough Council, welcomed the £500 penalty issued. He said there was 'no excuse' for littering.
