John Swinney is expected to use his SNP conference speech to announce how he will help end the 8am rush for GP appointments .
The First Minister will provide further details after he pledged to tackle the “lottery” five months ago .
Swinney brought forward his programme for government to May in a bid to set the political agenda .
At that point, he pledged 100,000 extra GP appointments after recognising the “deep frustration” over the way patients access family doctors.
One SNP source said tackling the early morning rush would feature prominently in his conference speech in Aberdeen.
The insider said the Government is "well aware" of the potency of the issue for voters.
