The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and the Hamilton business scene is changing once again.

While some new spots have opened over the last while, other businesses have announced their closure or changed their operations.

Biggs Ribs

This Brampton-based rib spot opened its newest location in downtown Hamilton.

Biggs Ribs moved onto James Street North, marking the small chain’s second brick-and-mortar location, the other being in Brampton. Owner Elias Williams first launched the eatery as a pop-up operation during the pandemic.

The menu focuses on barbecue eats, such as beef ribs — both back and short — as well as chicken wings, plus sides like mac and cheese, waffle fries and cornbread.
