MADRID – British holidaymakers in Ibiza and northeastern Spain faced travel chaos and flooding on Monday after Storm Alice lashed the country’s Mediterranean coast – nearly a year after the country’s worst floods in living memory .

Authorities have warned parents to collect their children from schools in Ibiza and Formentera before midday as forecasters issued a yellow alert for the Balearic Islands.
