Kenneth Williams, the special teams sparkplug for the Huskers was a walk-on before Saturday’s come-from-behind road win against Maryland at College Park.

His performance against the Terps was the culmination of his hard work and persistence. Coach Matt Rhule made sure everyone now knows Williams has earned a scholarship, no small feat for a track star who was discovered via a newspaper story while at Lincoln High.
