SEATTLE — Though it will be a Monday day game, the Mariners still plan to host a watch party for Game 2 of the American League Championship Series in Toronto.
The Mariners went on the road and shut down the Blue Jays' bats en route to a 3-1 victory in Game 1 on Sunday night. Plenty of fans were on hand at T-Mobile Park on Sunday to take in the Mariners' first ALCS game in almost a quarter century.
"I wanted to feel the environment. I wanted to feel the fans so much more than sitting at home and watching it, you know," Mariners fan Peter Johns told KING 5 after joining fans in Seattle to take in Game 1 on the big screen. "I was probably like middle school, high school, a kid, the last time this happened. So it's just amazing."
