Here are the most recent aerial views of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Camp East Montana detention facilities currently under construction at Fort Bliss in El Paso.
The detention center on the U.S. Army post is set to be the largest in the United States, holding 5,000 people. The facilities began receiving the first detainees on Aug. 1, and has been expanded by 250 beds each week.
There were 1,860 men and 159 women held at the detention facility as of Sept. 23, according to the office of U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-El Paso. But her office says they have struggled to get updated information since then.
