We had yet another dry and warm day here on Monday. Just like every other October day so far.

A powerful low-pressure system is currently just offshore of the Pacific Northwest. This system will move across the Central Plains at the end of the week, pushing a cold front through North Texas on Saturday.

Strong storms could be the result; we are monitoring the forecast to keep you alert to the situation.

Highs will get knocked down to something just a little closer to normal — 82° is still above normal for this time of year. Our normal is the upper 70s. It will be the first rain of the month. October is, on average, our second wettest month of the year.
