The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.716 after four consecutive decreases totaling 1.4 cents.

The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago but nine-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and 11.5 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased $1.777 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022, including one-tenth of a cent Wednesday.
