A fixed-wing plane crashed and fell on the I-195 in Dartmouth as it was trying to land at New Bedford Regional Airport. Shocking visuals of the plane on fire surfaced on social media though there is no report on fatalities. The crash forced a closure of part of the highway. Massachusetts State Police learned of the crash around 8:15 a.m. Monday, Tim McGuirk, an agency spokesman, said in a statement. The plane may have been attempting to land at New Bedford Regional Airport, but State Police say the pilot did not provide the airport with a flight plan or the number of people on board.
