Glasgow Aldi shoppers are being warned over an undeclared allergen in a popular dessert product.
The budget supermarket is warning shoppers over wheat in its Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey ice cream that was not declared on the packaging.
Wheat can be harmful to people allergic to gluten, such as those with coeliac disease.
Aldi is recalling 500ml tubs with best before dates of August 14 2027 across Scotland, Wales and England.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the product.
Shoppers who have bought the product and who have an intolerance or allergy to wheat or gluten are advised not to eat the ice cream, and instead return it to their nearest Aldi shop for a full refund.
