After three years at Pearl and six in Southtown, health-conscious snack bar The Good Kind is gone for good. Chef and owner Tim "The Girl" McDiarmid says she has permanently closed the trend-setting San Antonio restaurant, while the Ivy Hall event and catering businesses live on under new ownership.
The shutter wasn't a seismic shock. In March, the property at 1127 S St Mary's St was listed for sale, and the restaurant temporarily closed in late June. At the time, McDiarmid told CultureMap that she was assessing the value of the property.
