A 33-year-old man fatally shot in Wilmington's Browntown neighborhood has been identified by city police as Desmond Scott.

Scott was in the first block of Stroud Street when he was shot about 2:35 p.m. on Oct. 11, police said.

After being found, police said Scott was taken to an area hospital where he died.
