Dozens of dogs and puppies spotted dashing around a northwest Calgary neighbourhood led police on a chase to seize them Sunday.
It happened at around 4 p.m. on the 2100 block of 24 Avenue NW.
Four units of police officers responded to reports of over two dozen canines running around the neighbourhood, and worked to gather them into warm vans.
CPS says it liaised with the Calgary Humane Society to house the pups and investigate the incident.
It later added that no further information about the pups would be released because Calgary Bylaw is now in charge of the investigation.
