A Campbell River woman has died after suffering a life-threatening stab wound in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on Oct. 12, Campbell River RCMP responded to a report of a possible stabbing in the 1300 block of Dogwood Street, in downtown Campbell River.
Police say an officer conducting proactive patrols in the downtown area responded to the scene in under a minute after the call was received. The first officer was able to identify and apprehend a 29-year-old suspect as she was leaving the area.
