MINNEAPOLIS — It's not just the fall colors that are peaking across Minnesota.

This week's fall travel will hit its apex with the arrival of MEA break for school districts across the state, and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) says passenger volumes are expected to be up nearly 20% with families embarking on getaways.

While the MAC says federal partners have worked to maintain passenger security services and air traffic control at normal levels during the ongoing government shutdown, there could be some impacts.
