A scripted live-action television series based on Mattel ‘s iconic Magic 8 Ball franchise is in the works from M. Night Shyamalan ( The Sixth Sense, Split, Signs ), Emmy winner Brad Falchuk ( Glee, American Horror Story, Pose ) and Mattel Studios .

According to the official description, the series, co-created by Shyamalan and Falchuk, aims “to reimagine the classic Magic 8 Ball as the centerpiece of a high-concept, character-driven supernatural drama that blends psychological intensity with cultural intrigue.”

Shyamalan wil will serve as director, co-creator and co-showrunner for the project and Falchuk will serve as writer, co-creator and co-showrunner.
