EXCLUSIVE: Lifetime has a new “Ripped from the Headlines” movie in the works about the Idaho student murders, with Miles Merry ( Untamed ) cast as Bryan Kohberger, who confessed to killing four University of Idaho students: Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

From the team behind The Murdaugh Murders: The Movie , The Idaho Murders (w/t) is based on the true story that took place on November 13, 2022, in Moscow, Idaho. Kohberger entered the off-campus housing where Mogen, Goncalves, Kernodle, and Chapin lived around 4 a.m. when they were all asleep and stabbed all four to death. A months-long investigation focused early on Kohberger, leading to his arrest on December 30, 2022.
