The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed the payment dates of its benefits and State Pension for October.

UK households should not experience any disruption on receiving their payments, as they typically avoid weekends and bank holidays.

If they do fall during these times, the payments are shifted to the nearest working day.

Benefits that should be paid out as normal in October:

Universal credit

State pension

Pension credit

Child benefit

Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Attendance allowance

Carer’s allowance

Employment Support Allowance (ESA)

Income support

Jobseeker’s allowance
