M. Night Shyamalan is returning to television to direct a new series. The two-time Oscar nominee is known for his singular films like The Sixth Sense , Signs , and Old . But in a career that has spanned decades, Shyamalan has also made the foray to the small screen. He first directed the debut of the Fox sci-fi drama Wayward Pines , which went on to have record-breaking ratings for its premiere.

Shyamalan's television contribution increased with the recently concluded Apple TV+ horror Servant , which he executive produced and directed five episodes of . It focused on a couple that lost their son and the strange twists the story took over the course of four seasons. Now, though, Shyamalan is preparing to have his biggest involvement in a television series yet.
