It was a familiar story with a slightly different twist when Trinity Christian School battled AAA Region 2 opponent Troup County on Friday night in Sharpsburg.
The Tigers came to town undefeated, while the Lions had lost three straight and four of their last five games. The Tigers had also given up more than seven points to only two opponents all season. It appeared on paper to be a true battle between two teams that were not evenly matched.
These Lions are no paper Lions, however.
Trinity, in front of a raucous home-field crowd, put up a fight like few Troup County had faced this season. After falling behind early 17-0, Trinity battled back to take the lead, giving the Tigers a scare before eventually falling by the final score of 38-21.
