LEBANON, Ore. (KOIN) -- The color magenta has taken over the town of Lebanon.

For the past few weeks, the Warriors have been competing in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition. The school that gets the most votes gets $1 million for a stadium upgrade along with a weight room upgrade as well.

The reason why Lebanon needs this prize pack is apparent the moment you enter the football field.

“I had our application in the first hour of the first day of it,” said athletic director Kraig Hoene.

The first thing you see when you walk onto Heath Stadium is a fenced-up grandstand. The concrete was poured in 1957 for the now nearly structureless structure.
