New Delhi: ISRO has made the observations by the XPoSat mission available to the science community. ISRO also organised a National Meet on the XPoSat mission on 13 October, for the release of the data. The archival data is available through the Pradan platform , hosted by the Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC). Previously, ISRO has made the data captured by the Chandrayaan 3 , the Aditya-L1 and AstroSat mission available on the same platform. The XPoSat mission was launched on New Year’s Day, 2024 with the PSLV-C58 flight . The satellite was injected into a Low Earth Orbit at an altitude of 650 km.
There are two science payloads on board, POLIX and XPECT. POLIX measures the degree and angle of polarization of the X-rays, while XSPECT provides the spectroscopic information
