Entering Monday night's Game 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Milwaukee Brewers are officially playing in their first National League Championship Series (NLCS) since 2018. It's also the first NLCS they're playing in without legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker around in years, who died in January 2025.
As Milwaukee tries to clinch its first National League pennant in franchise history, you'll notice the special patch Brewers players are wearing on their left sleeves. The patch, which features Uecker's famed signature style, is meant to honor the late, iconic announcer, who was synonymous with the organization and also larger than life. If you're just tuning into Brewers baseball now for the first time all year, Milwaukee has been wearing the patch all season.
It's a great way to pay tribute to Uecker, whose memory will live on and remain timeless in both Brewers and baseball lore.
