SANDUSKY, Ohio — Authorities are investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy who passed away earlier this month in Sandusky .
In details released to 3News on Monday, Sandusky police say it was around noon on Oct. 4 when officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Hayes Avenue to assist with “a medical emergency” involving the teen.
“The juvenile was found unresponsive and was immediately transported to a local hospital by emergency personnel,” according to Sandusky police. “He was later transferred to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s in Cleveland for further treatment.”
Police say the teen later died on Oct. 7, and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the juvenile suffered a medical event
