11:36 A.M. UPDATE: Firefighters have made progress in containing the Crosby fire, now saying it is at 70% containment as of Monday morning and has remained at 300 acres.
According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the precipitation overnight helped firefighting efforts to hold the fire in place at 300 acres.
Officials remind the public not to fly drones anywhere near the wildfire, so that they don’t interfere with the firefighting efforts.
Portions of the Superior Hiking Trail within the George H. Crosby Manitou State Park still remain temporarily closed due to the Crosby Fire, although the state park remains open.
