MADISON, Wis. -- The 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard will conduct evening training flights in the Madison area this week, the Guard announced Monday.

The flights will be held from Tuesday through Thursday. Residents near the Dane County Regional Airport and Truax Field can expect to see or hear F-35 aircraft taking off and landing until about 9:30 p.m.

The Guard usually holds training flights during the day, but nighttime trainings are required throughout the year so that pilots and other personnel can stay prepared.

Pilots will follow flight paths that are meant to keep noise to a minimum for those living in the area.
