MARANA, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Management and Training Corp. has acquired a former prison in Marana for millions, sparking conversations about its potential use as an ICE detention center.

County Supervisor Jen Allen is set to moderate a forum on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. to inform Pima County residents about this development and discuss its implications for the community.

Panelists at the forum will include representatives from the ACLU of Arizona, Immigration and Refugee Rights Project, and Just Communities AZ.

Residents are encouraged to attend the forum to engage in the discussion and learn more about the future of the facility.
