CARBONDALE – Girls and boys in grades 5-9 can have fun exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, math and more during the annual Expanding Your Horizons conference at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Saturday, Nov. 1.

EYH will run from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SIU Student Center and other areas on campus. Students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops offering hands-on activities such as making and testing packages to protect eggs from a high drop, “piloting” a flight simulator, viewing microbes through a microscope and more.
