TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department responded to Rincon and University High school on Monday due to threats.

According to TPD, officers responded to the high schools on Oct. 13 in regards to threats against the schools which are being investigated. TPD said the threats "have not been substantiated at this point.

The RUHS and TUSD administration sent a letter to families saying:

"Rincon and University High School administrations received information about a threat circulating on social media referencing the campuses. The Tucson Police Department is actively investigating and, at this time, has determined that the threat is not credible.

School will continue as normal.
