LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police is investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist.

The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday on Ann Road and El Capitan Way near north Fort Apache.

According to police, the motorcyclist was speeding down Ann Road when they collided with a car in the intersection. The rider was thrown from their bike.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two people in the car were not injured in the crash. Police do not suspect the driver of the car to be impaired.

The crash is still under investigation.

This marks the 127th traffic-related death in Las Vegas this year, per Metro Police.
