OMAK, Wash. — Omak police are asking for the public's help in searching for a missing 12-year-old boy.

The Omak Police Department says Nicky Balboni was last seen on October 8 in the Omak area. Police say he was reported as a runaway and has now been missing for five days, and while he has left home in the past, the extended absence is unusual and concerning.

Police say Nicky was last seen wearing jeans with rips in the knees, a gray Okanogan shirt and black shoes.

OPD says information was not released sooner because the child's situation is sensitive and involves complex personal and family dynamics.
