OMAHA, Neb. —

The Creighton men's basketball team is opening the season ranked in the AP preseason poll for the fourth straight year.

The Bluejays is ranked No. 23 in the preseason Top 25, which was released Monday.

It's the eighth time in program history that CU has been ranked in the preseason poll.

The Jays are joined by two other Big East schools in the Top 25: UConn at No. 4 and St. John's at No. 5.

Creighton faces No. 16 Iowa State on Friday in its exhibition opener.
