COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Two people are allegedly responsible in the shooting death of a 40-year-old man on Stone Park Drive in Columbus, according to the Muscogee County coroner.

William Tatum was pronounced dead at Piedmont Columbus Regional on Oct. 10.

According to Bryan, Tatum was followed home by two people who assaulted him, forcing him inside the house. Bryan says the two people shot the victim in front of his mother and aunt.

Multiple police units and first responders were on the scene.

The Columbus Police Department is investigating this homicide.
