EDINBURGH — A 42-year-old man is in critical condition after being ejected from a go-kart following an accident on Sunday afternoon in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Police Chief Doyne Little confirmed that officers responded to the 600 block of Kyle Street after receiving a report of a crash. Upon arrival, police located the man who was unresponsive at the scene.

According to Chief Little, a witness at the scene provided officers with details of the incident. The man was reportedly operating a homemade go-kart when he lost control. The go-kart then struck a curb, ejecting the driver.

The injured man was transported to Methodist Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Chief Little stated the man was last reported to be in critical condition.
