JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A safety inspection along an Arkansas interstate resulted in police finding more than $3.5 million worth of marijuana.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, officers with the Arkansas Highway Police stopped a tractor-trailer driven by 43-year-old Steve Williams on Interstate 40 in Crawford County.
During a routine inspection, according to Monday’s news release, officers found 3,000 pounds of marijuana concealed in a load of pool tables.
Williams, who was believed to be traveling from California to Florida, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and simultaneous possession of a firearm.
