Peggy Douglas of Paducah, Kentucky, passed on to heaven on October 11, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 13, 1933, in Paducah, Kentucky. Peggy was the daughter of Delmar and Elsie Hall Fires. She was married to David E. Douglas Jr. (BUD) for 53 years. They built a happy life and family together. Some of you may remember Peggy as the person who took such good care of your dog or cat since she and our Dad owned and operated Douglas Kennels.

Peggy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she led by example. She taught us well. In her later years, if given the chance, she would proudly tell everyone that she was the luckiest woman in the world. She said th
