One of Diana Keaton ‘s closest friends spoke out on the late Academy Award-winning actress’ final days before her death at age 79 .

Carol Bayer Sager , the Grammy and Oscar-winning songwriter, shared details about the last time she saw the “Annie Hall” star alive, a few weeks ago.

“She was very thin,” she exclusively told People magazine, adding that she was surprised by her friend’s physical appearance. “She had lost so much weight.”

Sayer, who co-wrote Keaton’s song “First Christmas,” also said she’d seen her less frequently this year, as Keaton had spent more time in Palm Springs after her longtime Los Angeles home sustained damage in the California wildfires.
