Ahoy mateys! The Aquatarium again played host to the swashbucklers known as the Pirates of Halifax during the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Like many a special weekend this summer, and now even lingering into Thanksgiving, the Aquatarium’s pirate-themed event was blessed with blue skies, sunshine and sparkles on the St. Lawrence River.

The pirate theme encompassed the entire landscape of the Aquatarium, as the five energetic captains of the Jolly Roger entertained. Not only did they light up the faces of children, but they also rocked The Keystorm Pub Friday night with shanties and shenanigans.

“We had everyone up on their feet dancing,” said Captain Jack Corkum, a.k.a. Dwight Parker, head pirate and creator.
