Columbia College said it will temporarily offset tuition costs for military students during the ongoing federal government shutdown.
According to a news release, the “You Stand For Us, We Stand By You” award will temporarily offset federal tuition assistance to service members affected by the funding freeze so they can continue their education.
The program will cover active-duty service members, reservists and National Guard members enrolled at Columbia College.
Assistance from the bridge program will include full tuition assistance for affected military students through the remainder of the fall 2025 semester and an immediate tuition award for new, eligible military students who enroll during the shutdown.
