COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss will be out for a “significant period of time,” according to head coach Mike Elko, after Moss suffered an injury in the first half of Saturday’s win over Florida.

The injury to Moss’ ankle is unrelated to the season-ending knee injury he suffered last season or any other issues he’s fought through this year, Elko said.

Moss will still need further examination on the injury, but Elko said he doesn’t believe it will be season-ending.

On Moss’ fifth carry of the game, the senior collided with Gator defensive back Sharif Denson seven yards from the line of scrimmage. As he went down, his left ankle appeared to buckle, and he immediately began rolling on the ground in pain. He needed some assistance from trainers to get off
