Former New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s New York City mayoral campaign announced Sunday the support of 70 influential religious leaders representing faith communities across all five boroughs.
“Together, these leaders represent thousands of congregants and decades of moral leadership‚’’ the announcement from the mayoral candidate’s campaign said. ”They cited Cuomo’s record of working with all communities, his deep respect for faith-based organizations, and his vision to restore safety, opportunity, and unity across New York City."
Faith leaders are the backbone of our communities and help heal our city’s soul, Cuomo said in the announcement.
