President Donald Trump is accustomed to being protested. From his first election in 2016 to today, Trump is probably one of the most protested presidents in American history.

One of the groups protesting against the president this week, though, aren’t the expected anti-fascists, anti-authoritarians, anti-kings, anti-ICE or anti-tariff crowd. No, this week, in addition to all these other groups, President Trump is being protested by coal miners.

This presents a stark contrast to April, when a group of miners stood behind Trump in black and white safety helmets, reflective patches in full display, as the president signed an executive order to invigorate the U.S. coal industry.
